Dr. Nedra Barksdale grew up on a small family farm in southern Illinois. She attended Eastern Illinois University and then the University of Illinois Veterinary School of Medicine. After vet school she moved to the Chicago suburbs and practiced for 13 years. Dr. Barksdale moved to Venice Florida in 2020 and has been at Laurel Road Veterinary Clinic for 2 years. In her free time, she likes to hang out with her husband, daughter, extended family and her adorable scruffy little dog named Oscar.
