Dear Laurel Road Veterinary Clinic Friends and Family,

Here at Laurel Road Veterinary Clinic we continue to be committed to your pet’s health and well-being as well as our staff’s and the community. Following the guidelines recommended by the American Veterinary Medical Association in compliance with government recommendations, we are once again evolving our protocol. We would like to navigate slowly and responsibly transitioning back into serving our patients and clients.  What this means for you is that starting today, Monday May 4^th, we will be offering either curbside services or you may request to be escorted inside by an associate. We will maintain the clinic at 25% capacity and observe 6 foot social distancing in the lobby.  Therefore, there may be times where you must wait in your car before being escorted in. Please call us when you arrive so that we can prepare appropriately.  Due to limited space within the exam rooms, we are requesting that only one person accompany the patient per visit.  Wearing masks is encouraged but up to the individual’s discretion. We will continue meticulous disinfecting practices, including frequent disinfecting of high contact surfaces.

  At this time we will resume scheduling elective surgeries such as dentals,  spays, and neuters. If you would like to schedule your pet for any elective procedures, please call us for scheduling. Monday through Friday our hours will resume to being 8 am to 5 pm but, we will remain closed on Saturdays for the month of May.  However, we will have an after hours phone available, (941) 541-7207. Messages will be checked and calls returned as needed. If you have an urgent emergency with your pet when we are not open , Blue Pearl Emergency Hospital will be open (941) 923-7260.

Thank you so much for your continued patience and understanding as we familiarize ourselves with this transition. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions do not hesitate to reach out to us. We will consider exceptions on a case by case basis such as euthanasia’s, critical emergencies, or patients with special needs.  We are fortunate to have the best clients and patients ever and appreciate you all so much!
